Sandy Mills-Alford is an eLearning consultant and implementation specialist. As the CEO of AliveTek, Inc. she leads a team of web developers and instructional designers who help universities and corporations distribute and measure online learning.

Sandy Mills-Alford, AliveTek, Inc. CEO is an E-Learning consultant and implementation specialist. She leads a team of web developers and instructional designers who help universities and corporations distribute learning materials via the World Wide Web. As a woman-owned and operated company, AliveTek, Inc. works with government agencies, colleges, universities, and professional development entities from around the world. Her company is known for the creation of highly innovative and interactive e-learning environments and for specializing in the custom development of learning objects. In addition to being involved in research initiatives for web-based learning, Sandy delivers motivational seminars to faculty, course designers and executives on the effective use of technology for learning.

After teaching K-12 for 10 years with Pinellas County Schools, Sandy put her Master's degree in Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida to work as an instructional designer in the Distance Education department at Hillsborough Community College. She later joined St. Petersburg College as a curriculum designer with the Office of Instructional Technology, and then became the Director of Online Programs, housed at the state-of-the-art Seminole Campus. While at SPC, she helped to successfully implement one of the largest community college distance learning programs in the nation.

Ms. Mills began employment with WebCT in April of 1999 as an Educational Services Specialist, and grew into positions such as Training Manager and Educational Programs Director. Her responsibilities ranged from delivering WebCT training and consulting services to developing a top-notch educational services team that supported and mentored institutions involved with e-learning. Programs such as the WebCT Certified Trainer Program allowed Ms. Mills the global opportunity to work with organizations implementing best practices in online education, while helping to increase the WebCT user base along the way.

In addition, Sandy has several years of experience facilitating online courses at various colleges and universities, and remains active as a public speaker at industry related conferences and events. Residing in Largo, Florida, Sandy enjoys her involvement with community organizations such as the Pinellas County Economic Development Council, St. Petersburg College Digital Media Advisory Team and Rotary International.
